SkyCabs: Product Description |
THE SKYCABS DESIGN – OUR VISION
Panoramic views unfold as small 8 seater driverless cabs with plush seats and large windows, hanging on each side of a narrow beam and running in both directions travel elevated 8-10 metres above city and suburban pavements. Passengers are picked up close to home and delivered to dispersed destinations. Cabs are designed to travel at up to 80km/hr in urban areas. |

NETWORK OF LINES A network of parallel and intersecting lines move multiples of the above capacity around the city. Frequent stations to be serviced by fast lifts and stairs. Stations can be above parking areas in shopping centres, above small shops and along main suburban roads. Small number of passengers exiting from constant flow of cabs can be cleared quickly from stations to urban and suburban areas.
Plan of SkyCabs Cab |
PLANNED SERVICE Large numbers of cabs offer great cab frequency day and night, seven days a week. Only one to four minutes waiting time, so no timetables are necessary. Cabs are planned to be continuously available on scheduled routes. Full cabs become express cabs to the first destination, bypassing off-line stations for free cab flow. Journeys completed in half the time of cars and other modes of public transport during peak travel times. Independent programmed scheduling available direct to specific destinations e.g. an airport or hospital.
